We’re proud to celebrate a meaningful recognition with the presentation of the Dean’s Medal to Chuck Boos, KBA CEO Emeritus, at the Roger Williams University Cummings School of Architecture. Recognized for establishing the first endowed scholarship in 2001 and for his continued commitment to its growth, this effort has helped inspire the creation of seven additional endowed scholarships to date.

It was a special moment to be joined by Tess Heilman, a fourth-year architecture student and one of this year’s KBA Scholarship recipients. We also congratulate Amalia Menasanch Gomez of Spain, the second 2026 KBA Scholarship winner, who will join the School this August.

This legacy of mentorship and support continues to create opportunities for future architects and strengthen the broader design community.

We’re excited to help inspire the next generation of architects! KBA team members recently joined students and staff at Norwalk High School for their Trades Day and the Plainville Superintendents' showcase for an exciting look into the future of their new schools. Through immersive virtual reality tours, students were able to step inside their future learning environments and experience the design before construction is complete. Moments like these bring architecture to life and spark curiosity, creativity, and possibility for what’s ahead. Norwalk High School | Plainville Community Schools

On Earth Day, we’re reminded of the importance of designing in harmony with the natural environment. At Minuteman Regional Vocational Technical High School in Lexington, MA, exterior materials like wood and stone were thoughtfully selected to complement the adjacent Minuteman National Historical Park. This approach reflects a respect for place, sustainability, and the surrounding landscape. Happy Earth Day!

Earlier this week, our design team hosted an in-house project showcase highlighting Nashoba Regional High School in Bolton, MA. Team members from all offices came together in person and virtually to learn more about the project journey, from the proposal and interview process through feasibility, design development, finishes selection, and current construction progress. With completion anticipated next summer, it was exciting to reflect on how far the project has come and what's ahead for the Nashoba Regional community.

Thank you to Kate Jessup, Kara Scheffler, Madison Tebbetts, and Eliana Greenstein-Himle for leading a thoughtful and informative presentation.

This Landscape Architecture Month, we’re celebrating the vital role our in-house landscape architects play across every KBA project. Their work goes beyond fields and play areas, contributing to public safety facilities, schools, and community spaces alike. With a focus on functionality, aesthetics, and safety, our landscape team helps shape spaces that support communities and elevate everyday outdoor experiences.
