The past week and a half my van has been in the shop getting fixed. It had developed a bad coolant leak and oil leak as well. It also had other issues that needed to be addressed. My wife took the time of the van being down to take a vacation down to Houston, TX. Most of you know we lived there for 13.5 years before moving back in 1994. We have family that still lives there and was nice to get to see them all. I get the van back today and should have thing put back in and ready to go on Monday.

Fifty years ago today I graduated from ITT for HVAC-R. In about a month it will be fifty one years ago that I got my first job in the HVAC field.

Once again things in the HVAC are changing! The standards imposed by the government is pushing the changes. Next year there will be a new freon change which some of the equipment to do the service will not work for the change. Also, the government found that the new systems do not meet the SEER's they have set with the higher static pressure of the ducting of most systems. A nightmare is ahead!

Once again it came to my ears that I have retired! I am not dead! I have not come on FB and said that I have retired! So, it is a lie once again!

Once again people are calling me and asking if I have retired, then they tell me that they have heard rumors that I have! A rumor is nothing more than gossip, which it hurts the one that it is about! In this case it is people trying to take customers from me.

There are two ways to know when I have retired! 1.) You will read it in the obituaries! 2.) I will post it on the cover of Bob Justice Heating and Cooling Face Book page, and on my personal Face Book page cover. UNTIL THEN KNOW IT IS NOT TRUE!

If you have a programable thermostat you might want to put it on hold. Most furnaces if sized right for central part of Indiana are figured for -5 to 70 degrees. You will not have enough spare BTU's to make up the offset. Also windchills do have an effect on your house too.
