Akron Zoo to offer new adult event
AKRON, Ohio β The Akron Zoo is offering a new adult-only event, Pints βn Penguins, on Saturday, Nov. 11 from 6 β 9 p.m. Tickets are now available at akronzoo.org/pints-n-penguins.
Pints βn Penguins takes the zooβs popular Brew at the Zoo event and puts a twist on it. Local breweries and wineries will be onsite for tastings and all animals will be out in their habitats. Photo ops will be available with a penguin mascot, plus up-close animal encounters and music will be available.
Vendors include Brighten Brewing, Codex Brewing, Working Class Brew, Troutman Winery, The Winery at Wolf Creek and Thirsty Dog Brewing Company. Food trucks β Dr. Hibachi, OG Street Eatz and Uncle Baconβs BBQ β will also be available for purchase.
Limited number of tickets are available. Akron Zoo member tickets are $35 and non-members are $40. Designated driver tickets are $25 for members and $30 for non-members.
VIP tickets are also available and include four additional tastings, a full drink, a treat and gift. VIP tickets are $50 and VIP designated drivers are $35.
Pints βn Penguins is 21 and older only, including designated drivers. Infants and children will not be admitted.
The Akron Zoo is open 361 days a year. Winter hours are 11 a.m. β 4 p.m. Admission is $9 per person. Children under two are free and parking is $5. For more information visit www.akronzoo.org or call (330) 375-2550.
