The New York Statewide burn ban has ended. Please continue to use caution whenever you are performing a controlled burn and take these steps to protect your property and your neighbors:

📱 Report your controlled burn in advance to Columbia County NY 911: When your address is on file with the dispatchers, if a bystander reports smoke or fire in your area, dispatchers will notify the fire department of any controlled burns on file. 📞: 518-828-4114
👀 Always have a responsible person on site to supervise the burn while the fire is active.
💧 Have a way to put the fire out if things get out of hand.
🗑️ Burning garbage is always prohibited in New York State. Always use the appropriate facilities to dispose of trash, construction debris, and recyclables.
🚒 If the situation changes, and the fire becomes an uncontrolled burn, call 911 right away.

This is good news ! We have to salute Utility Tree Workers getting it done out there (safely ) It takes special training to keep themselves out of harms way when working around energized utility lines . Know which lines are which and if your not sure stay away, even low hanging 2ndary wrapped service cables that go into your house can become chewed by squirrels , wet , cracked and very common insulation rubbed against trees by the wind down to the conductor creating basically a bare wire often times unable to be seen from the ground .

PG&E's new assessment yard in Oroville is the first of its kind in the nation🌲 Over 3,500 tree workers are trained here on safety techniques before working near power lines, and it's already reducing safety incidents while boosting the local economy. Looking To Hire GROUND HAWG! (Groundsperson) for High End Residential Tree Care company.
Ground Hawg Duties include inspecting and loading tools ,Driving Trucks to job and jobsite/traffic setup, maintaining and fueling equipment, tool and gear management, chaining down and trailering equipment, assisting in Tree Care Operations involving pruning and removing trees at ground level , LOTS of Chainsaw cutting for HOURS on end , assisting tree climbers or bucket truck operator in lowering of tree sections in tight residential areas, Main duty involves stacking and properly cutting tree sections and brush for our MT100 bobcat with Grapple.
Chipper Operation or MT100 operations is also one of main functions of groundsperson , with safely operating with regards to personal safety and customer property, efficency main goal. Must adhere to proper ppe use and Equipment use training provided by bossman.
Bossman been climbing trees for 20 years Employment and pay is based on how well you apply yourself in learning Tree Care Skills , quick knot tying, safe chainsaw operation, equipment operation. must have drivers license, work 8 hour days most days, paid days off and side work, paid week in Aug , work until Dec.

Looking to Hire Class B CDL Manual Transmission Log Truck Operator/ Tree Worker for small Tree Care Company in New Lebanon NY 12125.
Duties involve driving Log truck to job and loading wood, making runs to various dump spots and unloading sometimes 2-3 times a day , or usually one load or two a couple times a week at least. we have a gmc7500 single axle, holds about 2.5 cords, in addition to driving you will also be included in assisting in Daily Tree Care Operations involving Tree Removal and Tree Pruning, chainsaw operations, physically stacking and cleaning up tree branches by hand or mostly is done by MT100 Bobcat with grapple , we have 12" diesel chipper and winch , raking and cleaning up sawdust ect. Owner will provide Log Truck training and emphasis on safe operation around workers with regards to company and customers property , productivity being the result of mastering and adhearing to fundamentals. Opportunity for maintenance and mechanic upkeep work as part of position if interested and capable.
full time work with hourly wage starting at 35-40$, gotta be doing everything for 40$ an hour , sharpening saw, chipper knives, hydro hoses, log truck and draggin brush, couple paid days off here and there, random bonuses, company purchase of boots,ppe, usually a paid week in Aug vacation, paid weekly, seasonal work until christmas.
