This week's project is a Bucket Bench. Almost a small hutch in White Pine, 48" high, 46" wide, 14" deep, with 9" top shelves.
This was designed with the clients shelf spacing, and they wanted it "in the white" no finish. They will paint or stain to match their other camp furniture.

Here we Go!! Finally after a 6 week wait for the leather to arrive, the 18th. Century campaign style writing slope and stand are finished! Mahogany wood, lots of brass, pounce pot, ink wells, candle cups, and a few secrets, Oh and the lovely green leather writing surface (so worth the wait)!

This week's project was a little different for me. A wardrobe built from birch ply, with aspin trim, and face frame. Temporary hardware as the final choice has yet to be made.

Assembling the brasses for the writing slope. All the inletting is done and now applying the oil finish.

The last few days have been "inletting brass days" on the writing slope, today I'm working on the lift handles. I really like the process of marking with a very fine knife mark then plowing out the recesses.

I have been working on this Mahogany dovetail box with inset top and bottom panels. The box went together perfectly, so I had to saw it apart. Now it is the base box for a campaign style writing slope!
