Top 3 Mistakes Roofing Companies make.

1 - POOR CLEAN UP.

One of the first things clients and their neighbors are going to notice after the job is complete is the clean up.

If you can’t do this right, they’re going to wonder what else you got wrong.

2 - POOR COMMUNICATION

Your clients need to know when you’re showing up (bin, materials, start date).

Delays happen due to weather and charge work orders. If you can’t show up the date they expected, let them knew. Also…don’t show up unannounced.

3 - FAILING TO TREAT THE JOB SITE LIKE SOMEONES HOME AND LIFE.

To you it may be another job site. To them it’s their home and life. You must treat it like such. Be understanding that replacing a roof is intrusive work for the client and the neighbors.

Sadly this roofs only defense against the wind is the self sealing tar strip on the shingles.

Whoever installed this roof must have thought they were saving a significant amount on time on instal or $ on nails at the expense of the client 😢.

Installation requirements call for 6 nails per shingle. This roof would be lucky to have 3-4 and not property placed which is also important.

PLEASE do your homework on who you’re hiring.

There are plenty of good companies in the city who take pride in their work and MEGA is one of them.
