Exciting news, y’all: In honor of our 10 year anniversary, we are supersizing the nursery. Recently we purchased 3,000+ bamboos and a vacant lot (affectionately called The Castle) where we will be expanding our operations. We are continuing to grow our plant rental and commercial plant care divisions, though bamboo sales, delivery, installation and maintenance remain at the heart of what we do best. Eternal thanks to all our employees, customers, friends and friendstomers over the years.

Rather than rows and rows of plants laden with price tags in an impersonal, martial line, Ninth Ward Nursery in New Orleans is a communal experience, a peaceful pause, a space for positivity. The buying and selling of bamboo in such an environment feels almost incidental, a fact that does not appear to bother owner and founder Mark Sanders.

“I’ve always looked at gardens as a sort of refuge, and I know that I’m not alone in that,” he said. “I know that that’s a very common thing, and so being in these places, it’s hard not to be inspired.”
