Seeing the next generation excited about recycling is a reminder of why we do what we do. 💚🌎♻️

Change doesn’t always start big. Sometimes it starts with one small set of hands, one lesson, one moment of sharing why it’s important to care.

If she’s learning this now, imagine the future her generation will build.

Happy Saturday New Orleans! The REALCYCLE team is at French Quarter Fest all weekend, composting food waste and compostable receptacles at the festival. We’re probing New Orleans can recycle if we do it together. 🦞🦐🍤

Reminder that we will not be at the farmers market tomorrow, 4/19!

♻️🏈REALCYCLE at the 2026 Allstate Sugar Bowl🏈♻️

REALCYCLE is proud to have started the new year bringing recycling and sustainability to one of college football’s biggest stages, the 2026 Allstate Sugar Bowl at the iconic Caesars Superdome.

Huge thank you , the ,our incredible sponsors and Zero Sugar, and our operational partners and Mobi Waste for making sustainability part of this year’s game plan. We’re also grateful to the City of New Orleans for continuing to lead by example when it comes to hosting world-class events responsibly.

Major events bring unforgettable moments — and they also bring tons of waste. By adding accessible recycling and sustainability solutions, we help keep valuable materials out of landfills, reduce environmental impact, and show fans that caring for the planet belongs on the biggest stages and fields too.

When fans, local and corporate partners, and cities work together, sustainability and ultimately our city wins. 💚
Let’s keep building a future where great games and great environmental stewardship go hand in hand. 🤝♻️🌎. 📸

Friendly reminder we will not be at today’s Market! Hope everyone has a Happy New Year, see y’all in 2026!

Thank you for your commitment to a more sustainable festival two years in a row!

We definitely felt the rain on our skin as we collected and sorted plastics and aluminum all festival long.

And a special shoutout to for your support!

♻️ Out with the old, in with the New! ♻️

At REALCYCLE, we don’t just collect whatever you want to put into your bin in hopes it can be recycled, that’s called “wish cycling”.

That system of compacting and mixing everything together in the back of a trash truck is failing all around the world. This is a major reason canceled its curbside program in the first place.

💡 What REALCYCLE Does Differently:
✅ You help us sort at the source!
✅ We educate customers with real-time feedback on what’s recyclable.
✅ We don’t take what is not recyclable!

🔍 Why Sorting Matters:
When recyclables are commingled (all in one bin), contamination skyrockets and humans who have to hand sort through materials are put at risk of handling broken glass and hazardous materials.

🚫 Our competitors treat recycling like garbage, they are waste management companies, incentivized to move as quickly as possible and focused on their bottom line.
🌍 We call ourselves a resource management company instead! We treat your resources like the future, taking our time to ensure your materials are handled properly and get a chance at a second life.

I’d be lying if I said it doesn’t feel weird when images and videos of my family, my team, and our work are being used to promote the continuation of a program we were “disqualified” from.

A program I personally pitched to and helped design, pilot, and build. All under the guise of “we hope to be able to find money to keep this going and actually cover your costs one day.”

I just have one question. How are individuals who know nothing about recycling able to qualify candidates to run a recycle program.

A recycle program is bigger than just satisfying a few constituents, it’s about how we respect our land, our resources, and each other. It’s about deciding to invest in a future and direction we can all be proud of. It’s about clean air, healthy soils, and a beautiful Laferniere Park and Buck Town Harbor. It’s about being a real leader and steward of our environment like those who are part of faith organizations read, preach, and pray about. When will the Earth and its people be put first. When will the youth of Jefferson Parish get a chance to once learn again about recycling in their homes. When will a private donor or corporate sponsor come forth and help us stop this environmental crisis. We are living in some strange times.

One thing that we all have to deal with every single day is trash. What if we decided that some of the trash we produce could actually be a treasure and create an entire new economy of jobs, resources, opportunities, and a healthier Earth. It’s called REALCYCLE and we want you to be part of it with us.

While we may be “disqualified” from this next chapter of recycling drop-offs, we are excited to continue writing a new chapter. Learn more about our curbside recycling program currently serving the East Bank of Jefferson Parish and New Orleans. Help us to continue restoring faith in and re-imaging how Louisiana really recycles.

We have work to do, but you can trust we have the vision, passion, and mission to turn it into a reality. Together, we can continue eliminating waste and creating change.

Congratulations to .co we’re excited to see how you continue to serve the residents of Jefferson Parish.
