I’d be lying if I said it doesn’t feel weird when images and videos of my family, my team, and our work are being used to promote the continuation of a program we were “disqualified” from.
A program I personally pitched to and helped design, pilot, and build. All under the guise of “we hope to be able to find money to keep this going and actually cover your costs one day.”
I just have one question. How are individuals who know nothing about recycling able to qualify candidates to run a recycle program.
A recycle program is bigger than just satisfying a few constituents, it’s about how we respect our land, our resources, and each other. It’s about deciding to invest in a future and direction we can all be proud of. It’s about clean air, healthy soils, and a beautiful Laferniere Park and Buck Town Harbor. It’s about being a real leader and steward of our environment like those who are part of faith organizations read, preach, and pray about. When will the Earth and its people be put first. When will the youth of Jefferson Parish get a chance to once learn again about recycling in their homes. When will a private donor or corporate sponsor come forth and help us stop this environmental crisis. We are living in some strange times.
One thing that we all have to deal with every single day is trash. What if we decided that some of the trash we produce could actually be a treasure and create an entire new economy of jobs, resources, opportunities, and a healthier Earth. It’s called REALCYCLE and we want you to be part of it with us.
While we may be “disqualified” from this next chapter of recycling drop-offs, we are excited to continue writing a new chapter. Learn more about our curbside recycling program currently serving the East Bank of Jefferson Parish and New Orleans. Help us to continue restoring faith in and re-imaging how Louisiana really recycles.
We have work to do, but you can trust we have the vision, passion, and mission to turn it into a reality. Together, we can continue eliminating waste and creating change.
Congratulations to .co we’re excited to see how you continue to serve the residents of Jefferson Parish.
