Today we had the opportunity to be a sponsor/participant for the 2nd annual Wa-nee Wishes golf outing to support their mission and the Northwood Girls golf team at McCormick golf course in Nappanee. One of my absolute favorite things to do is give back to OUR COMMUNITY. Fun was had, balls were lost, and memories were made. I think it’s safe to say none of us will be quitting our day jobs to join Rory & Scotty on the tour! 🤓 Thank you Braden Frye, Chad Brew, and Joey Rucinski for coming out and representing Frye Roofing. Also thank you Kris Hershberger for planning all of this. It was a great day!

We strip them clean and then build to last! This family experienced some intense wind damage from the crazy winds we’ve endured this spring. We tarped the damage and let insurance do its thing. Once they were ready we came out and got to work. No corners were cut, we used premium materials, and they have a fantastic warranty in place to give the family of Josh Sommers piece of mind for years to come which means a ton to me! Josh has been a good friend for over a decade and I don’t see that changing anytime soon. Would you just look at how clean this property is after installing a roof just hours before these pictures were taken! 😎 We installed our first CLASS 4 shingle roof this week. We have started offering a new line (for us) of Malarkey shingles. Malarkey is using upcycled rubber from tires and polymers from grocery bags in them offering a class 4 IMPACT rating. With most carriers this will offer a cost savings on your homeowners insurance premiums. Like some others Malarkey offers a LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY on their materials. What a wonderful week of weather we have had FINALLY! 😎 We are steadily signing more jobs but Mother Nature has been working against us most of the spring thus far. I want to say thank you to all of our customers for being so understanding about the month long weather delay. This job was a tough one but the crew did a great job. It was on a beautiful home down on lake Maxinkuckee in Culver Indiana. We had to remove the existing shingle roofing system, decking, and the spray foam insulation. At that point the insulation company sprayed the cavities, we installed the new decking and roofing system at that point. We also added some new intake ventilation down towards the eves to ensure that we have good airflow in the existing space left up there. We are hoping we can get some dry weather to start stacking up so we can move through our schedule and continue serving families in our community! M. Y. Insulation was a huge help and an all around great group of guys to work with on this one.

We kicked off our 2026 season in Goshen on Friday. This new homeowner selected the Owens Corning Duration shingle in Peppercorn. I believe it looks exceptional and will provide outstanding performance for decades to come. I've been receiving a good amount of calls recently from homeowners asking for a roof inspection and or estimate. Several have had the same story. They recently had a sales rep knock on their door, tell them that they've found damage on roofs in their neighborhood, and have them sign a contingency agreement after their "inspection". In most cases I have not found sufficient damage to justify an insurance claim. In these instances your best bet is to call a local, trustworthy roofing company. We are not going to ask for a dime down at that point in the game because who knows what insurance is going to say. We are also not going to fill your head with nonsense that you will definitely be getting a new roof for free because free roofs do not exist. What we will do is come out, inspect your roof, and give you honest feedback. We will also give you our opinion on what your best course of action will be. Contractors like those mentioned by our homeowners are a big part of the reason for constant rising premiums, why insurance companies are getting much tougher to deal with, and most certainly a big part of the reason homeowners are reluctant to trust contactors.
