New front steps. Despite the large number of screws that held the front post to the steps, the steps were all rotted, and I pulled these apart with very little effort. The ledger was held on with regular wood screws. No longer are these a catastrophe waiting to happen.

To all my clients: Thank You for the opportunity to help improve your homes, whether a minor repair or a space transformation. Your faith in my abilities, and in me in general, is something I don't take for granted, and for which I am incredibly grateful. May you all enjoy the Holiday season, remain in good health, and have blessings beyond measure!

We're nearing the home stretch! Floor is done, and the shower walls are almost complete! Large format tiles are a bear to work with, and honestly, hanging them on walls is a bit unnerving! I'm grateful for the opportunity to do this job, and I'm doing my best to make it as near to perfect as I can. Time and patience are the keys, and fortunately, the clients feel the same! They've been so gracious and understanding throughout this whole process.

The bathroom remodel continues! Large format tiles make for less grout lines, but also for more work! They're heavy, require a lot of thinset, and are scary to cut! 🤣 One bad cut on a big boy like these, and your heart sinks into your stomach. It's coming along though, and has been fun, challenging, and rewarding.

LVP install. Over 400 sf, and I was so tired by the end, I forgot to take a picture of the finished project! 🤦‍♂️
All edges finished with 3/4" quarter round.

Custom milled, and shaped, threshold. Client supplied the red oak, which I milled, shaped, planed, and sanded to match the existing profile of the old threshold. Stained with 2 coats of Minwax stain, and three coats of satin polyurethane.
New casings are needed, but they can wait until the Spring. I enjoyed this project, especially, because it involves some artistic expression.

So much joint compound! All the electrical is done. MOST of the plumbing is done (still need to run tees and do the hookups for the double sink vanity), and the floor has been primed. More sponge sanding, more floating of seams, self leveler, and it's time to tile! So excited to get closer to tiling this reno! It's going to be a beauty when it's done.

Another one in the books! A quick and dirty small deck to allow for access from the back door. The left side has been excavated, and needs a retaining wall done, so for now, I did a double rim joist and partially cantilevered over the excavated portion. The steps are also "temporary", and can be easily removed for expansion in the spring, once all the grading has been completed.

Three doors down! 🤣
All three had to be custom fit into existing frames, with new hinge mortises as well. Tedious work, because you generally only get one shot to get doors right!

Random day. Started with a deadbolt installation, then to the barber for a beard trim. Johnny, @ Flippers in Troy, worked his magic again. That's his dog, Dusty, in photo one, btw. Then I picked up a door to bring home and install this kitty door. An offbeat, fun little project, that the homeowner and I have decided would work better on a solid core door. I'm also going to swap out the hinge for a sturdier, mortised set, and use rare earth magnets to keep it open and closed. Prototype and actual install to follow at some point in the near future.
Up next are 3 door installs and a custom threshold that I'm milling from a large piece of red oak!
I'm very grateful for all the work I'm being given and for all the wonderful people with whom I get to interact.
