As we reach the end of 2025, we’re excited to share one of our last projects of the year from McLusky Showcase Kitchens, designed by Kris McLusky.
👉 Look at the before. This kitchen was straight out of the 1980's, classic country style that was big then… but definitely not now.
Kris approaches every project not for what it is, but for what it could be. So what did that mean here?
• Remove support and partition walls ✔️
• Turn a window into a sliding door ✔️
• Close off the back door ✔️
• Reside the exterior and add a new window ✔️
• Then start fresh with an entirely new vision ✔️
Thankfully, on the construction side, we employ highly skilled craftsmen who can pull off a remodel like this, because projects like these take experience, precision, and teamwork.
And did we mention the finishes?
✨ All-new hardwood floors
✨ Quartz countertops
✨ Custom kitchen and entertainment cabinetry

Sometimes the best views come from being a carpenter dad. Days like today remind me that it’s one of life’s best gifts. Leah and her husband just relocated for his career, and their new house had a front door with no window. McLusky Showcase Kitchens is known for our kitchen designs and renovations, and my desk was stacked with project bids… but sometimes Dad duty comes first.

So I took the day off, hit the road, and installed a new door for my girl. After brushing off the sawdust and giving Leah and puppy Billie a hug, I turned to leave and caught this view. Worth every minute. 🛠️❤️

Let's face it: white kitchens and tiny humans are not a match made in heaven. Between the sticky peanut butter, colorful jelly, it was time for a change.
This family wanted a kitchen that was both beautiful and functional. Our designer, Kris McLusky, came to the rescue and out with the white cabinets for a warmer wood tone that would hide those sneaky little messes. Now, this space is not only inviting and warm, but it's also a high-five-worthy hideout for all those sticky fingerprints.
