Meteora Monastery, Greece M️🇬🇷

Meteora is an architectural group of monasteries built on a rocky peak in northwestern Thessaly, Greece. This is not only a beautiful work of architecture but is unique in Greece and in the world as well.

The meteor in Greek means "suspended in the air" and as it means, the architectural block of Meteora on the top of the mountain, if you look from above you will see these monasteries suspended in the air. In addition, these monasteries are the most important monasteries in Greece located directly behind Mount Athos. The meteorite consists of a total of six large and small monasteries, all built on top of Mount Thessaly near the Pinios River and the Pindus Mountains.
