The Atheneum, New Harmony, Indiana.

The Atheneum is a true example of Meier’s interpretation of the architectural promenade - a continuous experience is mediated by the interior ramp that guides visitors from the ground floor to the rooftop terrace. Inspired by the early work of Le Corbusier, the building is enlivened by the interplay of two colliding grids and the masterful use of light. Meier had said, “Circulation is the main spatial protagonist of this building, and the ramp is its most vital element.”

Designed as the visitors’ center and museum for the town of New Harmony, a utopian community founded in the early nineteenth century, the Atheneum extends its principal cross axes beyond the building’s edges, visually projecting into the landscape as if to connect with the town’s historic grid and symbolically welcome visitors. A slight rotation of one axis introduces dynamic tension, reinforced by shifting circulation paths that weave through a sequence of interconnected spaces, linked seamlessly by ramps and stairs.

Italcementi i.lab, Bergamo, Italy.

The i.Lab is a LEED Platinum research and development center that honors 150 years of material progress through a design that merges technical precision with spatial clarity.

Daylight animates the interiors via a system of skylights, while the double-height entrance foyer fosters openness and connection. Clad in pollution-reducing concrete developed specifically by Italcementi for the project, the building embodies the commitment to sustainability and forward-thinking design.

Camden Medical Centre, Singapore.

The building’s circular envelope, clad in metal panels, directly responds to its equatorial location, where both northern and southern exposures demand robust solar protection. To address this, the design integrates multiple strategies, including layered facades, a structural brise soleil, and embedded sunscreens, that work in concert to mitigate solar gain. These elements enhance environmental performance and introduce a human-scaled expression that harmonizes with the residential towers to the east and southeast of the site.

City Green Court, Prague, Czech Republic.

Sculpted for light and life, this eight-story office building centers around a skylit atrium that floods the core with natural brightness. The building anchors its corner site by offering a graceful contrast to the surrounding buildings, while its overall massing remains in close dialogue with its broader urban context. A sweeping canopy signals the main entrance on the south façade, while softened corners at the southwest and northeast invite passersby into intimate public arcades.

City Green Court, Prague, Czech Republic.

City Green Court brings Cubist inspiration to Prague’s Radio Plaza with bold massing and a light-filled atrium that anchors its corner site. The eight-story office building balances high performance with expressive form, featuring angled fins and solid panels that animate the façade while modulating light and heat.

Its sustainable ambition is reinforced through natural ventilation, recycled materials, and a green roof, which merges environmental stewardship with architectural clarity.
