My kitchen looked cleaner when I had less storage.
I know that sounds ridiculous, but every time I get more cabinets, drawers, baskets, or organizers, I somehow find new things to shove into them. It's like my spatulas reproduce when nobody's looking π.
A few months ago I decided to clean out one drawer. Just one. I found three vegetable peelers, four measuring cup sets, and a random key that doesn't belong to anything in this house. I genuinely have no memory of acquiring half this stuff. It just appeared over the years through some weird adult-life magic.
The funny part is I still reach for the same handful of things every day. Same frying pan. Same wooden spoon. Same beat-up baking sheet that's survived every kitchen trend I've gone through. The expensive gadgets sit there looking offended while I ignore them π.
I used to think an organized kitchen meant having a place for everything. Now I think it mostly means being able to open a drawer without something launching itself at my face.
Anyway, if I disappear this weekend, I'm probably trapped under an avalanche of reusable grocery bags. ππ
