InsideWright

InsideWright Tobi Wright has a way of seeing how unexpected elements come together to create harmonious impact. She understands physical space transforms one's mood.

With a background in advertising, branding and bodywork, Tobi Wright of InsideWright approaches interiors with an eye to identity and well-being. With her clients' ideal milieu in mind, she achieves abundance, purpose, and vitality - through design. Raised by fine art and art historian parents, Tobi's childhood home nurtured aesthetic possibilities. At Parsons School of Design, she cultivated an e

ase with color and honed a passion for communication arts and interior design. Tobi's curiosity about the relationship of physical and emotional well-being was fleshed out at the Swedish Institute of Massage. In the residential space, Tobi's design perspective leaves her clients with a sense of internal and external equilibrium. In the commercial/hospitality space she translates brand identity through creative applications of FF&E. InsideWright's curated environments are simultaneously striking yet serene. When apt, elements of playfulness are integrated with pleasure.

InsideWright I Project

This was a project with a limited budget and a directive/need to work with pre-owned elements.
The primary goal was cohesiveness.

Color was the first grounding element. Related shades of blues and wood tones now move through the space.
Color was followed by scale and function.
Four separate door mats became a long runner. Ernesta’s custom size rug program allows you to maximize coverage at a very reasonable price.
A full length runner in an entryway welcomes you and draws you into the home.
The bench is upholstered in a Fabricut fabric that you’ll see in a more playful colorway in the living room *stay tuned*.

In the dining room blue moves around an extension table in light and darker toned chairs, and a custom blue Velora Home light fixture crowns the space.

Off the long foyer, the sons’ childhood bedroom has become a guest room.
Weighing in from the West Coast, the aesthetic and functionality of the room had to align with the son's needs during his occasional visits.
A workspace, a place to sleep that preferably does not look like a bed, and a wardrobe—not unlike what was pre-existing.
Once again a variety of different storage pieces became one long, unified element with Plywood Project’s modular millwork.
A Casara Modern daybed operates as a deep sofa and an extra long bed for someone who is over 6’ tall.

In narrow spaces, scale and repetition allow the eye, mind and body to relax.

Interior design relationships can last a lifetime.

We began working with this wonderful client in 2021, focusing on their living and dining room spaces. At the time they didn’t feel ready to transform their home-office.

A year later we gut renovated their bathroom, and 3 years later their office received its long-overdue facelift.
We snagged a bold tone from this color-forward client's rug, and matched the oak to other elements in the room.
They are thrilled with their inspiring new workspace.

“A Leo thrives in a space that stands out and reflects bold, expressive energy.”

In a recent feature with , the influence of personality on spatial experience was examined.
For Leo, that translates into interiors that carry presence—where color, form, and material are used with intention rather than restraint.

Our model residence at 720 West End Avenue reflects this approach through a mural-like wallcovering by , and layered elements that create warmth, movement, and visual depth.

InsideWright I Process

Our 3Dcor sculptural lighting installation started with mapping out the layout with string. We follow the floor plan to make sure the light is evenly distributed and serves as both ambient and task lighting (over a desk, near the arm of a sofa, etc).

This is an acupuncture room, and while the lights are not typically on during a session, we’ve placed one of the smallest shades in the corner near the headrest—serving as a glowing night light when on the lowest dim setting.

Form, glow, and placement handled with care and patience from start to finish. Grateful to work with Handy Andy NYC 👏💗

InsideWright I Holiday

What a meaningful way to end 2025…
Coronet’s S**U acoustic lighting—featured boldly in our NPR project—was recognized with a 2025 Product Innovation Award.

For the NPR NY Bureau, every decision focused on performance—acoustic control, visual comfort, and clarity for a demanding newsroom environment.
Design endures when function leads.

Congrats to all!
