Last Sunday, I brought my bird art prints to Prospect Park. 🐦🎨🌳
The visitors of the park seemed like people who are used to seeing artists. I didn’t have to explain what an art print was. Instead, they asked where I sell my originals and what kind of paint I use.
I have an “About the Artist” sheet that I usually hang up at art fairs. Honestly, I don’t think anyone had ever read it before Prospect Park. But here, I felt a real sense of respect as an artist.
I overheard one couple talking:
— Take a photo of the artist’s information.
— I already took a business card.
— Still, take a photo.
And they did 😊
Later, another woman was looking at my work and suddenly said:
— Oh, so you’re a yoga teacher and you paint birds. Everything you do is relaxing.
My first thought was: How does she know I’m a yoga teacher?
Then I realized 😀 It was that magical little sign hanging behind me.
