I have always been fascinated with interior design. At the tender age of six, I didn’t understand what interior design meant, but I could appreciate the beautiful designs both my mother and my aunt created in their homes. The apartments were small but always lavished with such beautiful furnishings. I can remember solid wood floors, colorful décor, a number of unique lamps and the beautiful fabrics used in floor-to-ceiling draperies. I can remember, when the other children were out playing, I would be glancing through the pages of Architectural Digest my aunt always subscribed to. I loved looking at the photos of luxurious homes around the world. This is where my love for interior design and world traveling began. As, an AD subscriber, hundreds of copies are used in my very own home décor and I’m still just as fascinated today as I was the very first time I picked up this magazine.
