MVVA worked closely with Harbourfront Centre and Waterfront Toronto to transform a surface parking lot at York Quay into active public plazas immersed in miniature urban forests recalling Southern Ontario’s woodlands. Ten years on, this transformation has improved public access to Toronto’s waterfront and provided generous places for daily use and large events. Attracting millions of visitors from within the GTA communiy annually, it is the site of the city's most diverse collection of cultural celebrations and arts events.
