Custom white oak beams beginning to take shape within the cathedral ceiling as cabinet installation nears completion in this new custom home kitchen.

A continued study in symmetry, rhythm, proportion, and restraint. Organic tones and natural materials layered intentionally to create warmth, balance, and quiet impact without excess.

The architecture continues to speak a little louder with every layer added.

Install day.

One of our favorite moments in the process.

The movement.

The scale.

The weight of the material.

The way natural stone completely changes the atmosphere of a space the second it lands.

Quiet details now.

Full reveal later.

The best spaces are often the ones no one initially sees.

This under-the-stair wine room is beginning to come to life. Custom white oak cabinetry is installed, the glass is in, and the vision is taking shape.

We always look for opportunities to turn overlooked spaces into something intentional. And no wine room is complete without racks, but not just any wine racks will do for this space. We are taking it to the next level with floating wine racks.

Some entries are designed to simply have you walk in the home. Others are designed to slow you down before you even step inside by gracefully welcoming you.

Clean lines. Quiet contrast. Natural textures.

A simple moment that says everything without needing to say too much.

Two cardinals landed on site today.

In many traditions, cardinals are seen as a reminder that the people we love never really leave us. A sign of guidance. Protection. Presence.

They showed up in the middle of the sawdust, the framing, the building of something from the ground up and for a minute, everything slowed down.

Maybe some things are bigger than construction.

Maybe certain visits mean something.

There’s something special about the earliest stages of a project.

The rough sketch.
The proportions.
The conversation about how a home could feel.

We’ve been quietly exploring this exterior concept for a new design-build project inspired by classic coastal architecture, layered with clean lines, symmetry, cedar shakes, and timeless detailing.

Still early.
Still evolving.
But we’re excited about where this one may go.

Sometimes the best projects begin with a pencil sketch and a vision.

Before the finishes.
Before the lighting.
Before the layers.

There is the structure.

The proportions.
The rooflines.
The framing of the views.
The quiet decisions that shape how a home will ultimately feel long before the first material is installed.

Even at this stage, the intention is already there.

Some spaces are designed.
Some spaces are felt.

When the layers begin to come together, people on site stop and take notice.

We received a message today that simply said:
“God bless your creativity.”

That meant a lot to us because great design and craftsmanship are never about one feature. They are about restraint, proportion, flow, quality, and attention to detail all working together.

And this space reflects that approach.

A thoughtfully designed entrance sets the tone for the entire home.

Layered architectural details, warm natural materials, intentional lighting, and clean lines all work together to create a feeling the moment you walk through the door. The balance between scale, symmetry, texture, and transition is what makes an entrance feel elevated, timeless, and welcoming all at once.

The beauty is often in the restraint. Every detail is carefully considered through both the design and build process to create spaces that feel cohesive, intentional, and lasting.

This is where it starts. A dated cape in bad shape with a fragmented layout, tired finishes, and a structure that does not support modern living. lThe kind of house that requires a clear vision and a disciplined approach to get it right.

We are reworking it through our design build process. A complete reimagining with a full second story addition, updated layout, cedar shake siding, expansive porches and decks, and large doors and windows that bring in natural light and strengthen the connection to the outdoors.

The focus is on proportion, simplicity, and timeless coastal architecture. Every move is intentional, from the massing to the material palette.

Stay tuned as this transformation takes shape sharing progress along the way.
