The countertops are gray Formica and are actually in great shape. I'd eventually like to replace them with granite and lower the raised bar so everything is on one level.

And just to clarify… I'm pretty sure I do **not** want to paint the cabinets. 🤣 I like the oak and want to keep the wood look.

We also plan to extend the cabinets all the way to the ceiling someday, but we have plenty of other projects to tackle first.

We're moving into this home soon and would like to refresh the kitchen without painting the cabinets. We'd love to repaint the walls, replace the countertops, and add a backsplash.

What paint colors, countertop materials/colors, and backsplash styles would you recommend to help tone down the orange/golden hue of the oak cabinets while still complementing them?

Help!! I am renovating my guest bathroom and I made a huge mistake on tile selections. I picked a white subway tile for the shower with Floor & Decor Luxe Frost Matte Porcelain floor tile. I hate it!! What can I do to fix it?!!! We haven’t picked a wall color yet, or a vanity.

Should I paint my kitchen cabinets white? 🤔

My husband loves the darker look, but the kitchen feels a little too dark for me. I'm trying to find ways to brighten and update the space without losing all of its character.

Would white cabinets be the way to go, or are there other updates you would suggest? I'd love to hear your ideas and see photos if you've done something similar.

I wasn’t very smart and just assumed the curtains were long enough to go to ceiling… would you just pull them down or would you get the longer ones to be able to reach from ceiling to floor?

I'm looking for help with my dated backsplash, which I've never liked. My granite countertops are also outdated. I've had the house for six years, and it was like this when I bought it. Now that we're thinking of selling, I know I need to update the backsplash to make the house more marketable. However, I'd like to do this without breaking the bank. What budget-friendly options do I have for updating the backsplash while leaving the granite countertops intact?

I love the look of our 42” wide, 1930s range, but it is not working for my family’s needs. I’m having a hard time finding a replacement that fits in the space: 40”-44” would work, it has to be induction, freestanding and elevated/open underneath for airflow/HVAC. I know this is a frequently asked question but I feel like our space between the cabinet and the end of the counter is bigger than most people in this predicament. Where should our backsplash end? Line A with the cabinet or B with the counter? Doing Kingston white backsplash.
