Glen & Company’s current projects include the design, development and implementation of several value-oriented hotel projects in the creation of urban examples of how a hotel’s brand standards can be challenged and re-designed to meet the demands of being located in an urban location such as Manhattan:
•Fashion 26 – A Wyndham Hotel, West 26th Street, NYC: opened Spring 2010: complete Interior Des
ign of all guest rooms, public spaces, restaurant and branding of project)
•TRYP Hotels, 345 West 35th Street, NYC: complete interior design of all public spaces, restaurant and guest rooms for the first North American unit of this Spanish hotel chain)
•4 Points, Platt Street, NYC: scheduled opening Spring 2011: complete interior design of all public spaces, restaurant and guest rooms, with the intention of this hotel becoming the flagship example of an urban example of this value-oriented brand.
•Complete redesign of 3 Hampton Inns (2 in NYC and one in Philadelphia) on behalf of Hersha Hospitality.
•The Madison Beach Hotel: complete architectural and interior design of the historic hotel in Madison, CT. Additional projects include a new concept in Wellness for Miraval in Tucson, Arizona; Romera, New York for noted Spanish neurologist turned chef Miguel Sanchez Romera; a new 50,000 square foot ground-up building for Whole Foods; a complete renovation of La Vista, the 5,000 square foot 3-meal-a-day restaurant and beach bar at the San Juan Marriott; and the planning and design of a gourmet center and 7 signature restaurants in Caracas, Venezuela. Recently completed projects include the Lobbies, corridors and cafeteria in The Pinnacle at Merritt 8, an office building in Stratford, CT; the complete renovation and re-launch of the Edison Ballroom, formerly the Supper Club in Manhattan; Del Posto restaurant for noted chef, Mario Batali; 57 Restaurant and Bar, a 5,000 square foot Lounge, Bar and Restaurant in the Roponggi District of Tokyo.
