From The Group Lab member, Emily Kitchens' latest project:

Come to a work-in-progress showing of a bizarre short piece by Emily Kitchens at Dixon Place on FRIDAY, DECEMBER 16th at 10PM. At this point in the piece's development it will especially be amazing and important to have some friendly artistic community there for support and feedback and constructive conversation. It's a wee late at night but the work should be short and sweet (well at least short and strange).

Developed by Leigh Williams, Paul Kite, Ben Charles, Matt Bradley, and Emily Kitchens.

Nestled in the deepest, wildest heart of a haunted wood is a pool of tears. A man has come to scoop them all up, but a disturbance in the deepest parts of the woods is a disturbance in the deepest parts of oneself. A mixed-media poem play about crying without tears, magic, medicine and dreams.

The Where Project is a two act storytelling event. Artists, writers and performers share stories in response to the questions "Where are you from?" in the first act and "Where are you going?" in the second act. In answering these questions with dynamic, heartfelt storytelling and original music, The Where Project hopes to cultivate and share meaningful, hilarious, human stories that capture where we are right now.

October 28, 2015's WP featured storytellers Soriya Chum, York Walker, Philip Estrera, Natalie Rich and musical storyteller Hennessy Land. We were thrilled to be hosted by FRIGID New York as part of the .

Thank you a thousand times over to everyone who made The Where Project (June 2016 Edition) so special. Our incredible storytellers, Natalie Rich, Philip Estrera, York Walker, Soriya Chum & Hennessy Land spoke their truths in words, in music, in rain, in anecdotes, in sermons, in scenarios... in a beautiful, complex array of stories that we will never forget. On this lovely, sunny Day, we reflect and rise up to celebrate love.
