Valentine's Day Fig Tree Cutting Sale

We are selling a very limited amount of Flatbush Dark fig tree cuttings this Valentine's day for $30. Each cutting, with care, can become a fig tree. Each fig tree cutting comes in a glass Ball jar with a pink bow, and detailed instructions in a little pink envelope.

If you are interested, we will be at the Cortelyou Farmers' Market Sunday, February 12th on the corner of Argyle and Cortelyou in front of the library. We will have a table set up from 930-11 am.
Please message me if you would like to reserve one. Also, we will not be shipping. Sorry!

PS: we will have some lower-priced "seconds" for $20.
More info: Fig trees grow 2-3 feet a year. Fig trees usually take 2-3 seasons to grow a crop of successful delicious figs. Our cuttings originate from our Flatbush Dark fig tree in our backyard. This variety has a great track record growing in Brooklyn.

SOLD OUT We are selling 8 fully rooted fig tree cuttings outside our house in Brooklyn (Argyle Road between Bev/Cortelyou) between 9-10am tomorrow April 11th for $20 each. The variety is Flatbush Dark which does well in this area. They can be planted immediately and come with one page of helpful instructions of how to care for your new tree. Mason jar included. Local sales only, we are not shipping. Thanks!

LOCAL FIG TREE SALE STARTS TODAY

First, a huge thanks for you patience in answering your Facebook and email inquiries. Apologies if I haven't written you back. We are having a local sale of 10 fig trees that starts today (see photo attached). Price:$30 Please note we are not shipping any trees, and you will have to arrange for pick up at our house in Ditmas Park, Brooklyn between now and Sept 1st. We are located on Argyle Road between Beverley and Cortelyou Road.

If you are interested in buying a tree, here's how.
Send me an email at flatbushfigfarm at gmail.com (first come first serve) with a request that you want to buy a tree. Please specify which variety you want: Flatbush Dark or Flatbush White or that you have no preference. I'll send you back paypal instructions, our exact address for pick up, and instruction on how to take care of your tree.

Flatbush Dark (7 available)
This fig tree came from a cutting from an old fig tree on Argyle Road in Beverley Square West. It produces delicious 1.5” fruit whose flavor has been described as tasting like ripe peach. The fruit’s interior looks similar to red velvet cake and the outside is brownish purple when fully ripe.

Flatbush White (3 available)
This fig tree came from a cutting from a community garden in Prospect Park South (Albemarle Road and Buckingham Road). It produces large 3” fruit whose flavor has been described as honey like. Its color in yellowish orange as is its interior. Its origins beyond Brooklyn are unknown.

Pick-up dates is August 22nd-September 1st between 8am and 8pm.
