We’re proud to be included in Habitat Magazine’s story on the Neptune Towers co-op renovation in Long Beach, NY. This project highlights how proactive planning and smart investment can protect buildings from ocean-air corrosion while improving quality of life for residents.

I’m excited to share that the client has officially approved the floor pattern for their luxury Fifth Avenue lobby project with Forbes Ergas Design.

After several design rounds, the breakthrough came with a full-scale printout of the floor pattern, paired with material samples on site. Seeing the design at actual scale made all the difference. Large mockups always tell the story better than renderings or swatches alone.

It gave the client the clarity and confidence they needed to move forward, and the impact in context truly reinforced the strength of the design.

This was a great example of how our collaborative, detail-driven process at Forbes Ergas Design leads to smart, high-impact decisions.

After several rounds of terrazzo samples that didn’t meet the mark, I realized the only way to get the result I was after was to take a more hands-on approach.
I made the trip to Staten Island to learn the terrazzo process firsthand from mixing aggregates and selecting pigments to pouring, grinding, and finishing. It was an intensive (and humbling) experience, but it gave me full control over the outcome.
The final sample turned out exactly as I had envisioned and most importantly, the client was happy.
Sometimes the best way forward is to step outside your comfort zone and take the process into your own hands.
Excited to share the final installation soon at our Midtown NYC project.

At Forbes Ergas, we don’t just design public spaces for co-ops and condos — we also bring our vision and expertise to private residential homes. This particular home was taken down to the studs and completely reimagined by our interior design team. From layout to finishes, every detail reflects our commitment to thoughtful, functional, and beautiful living spaces!

We’re seeking a highly motivated and driven Interior Designer to join our team at Forbes Ergas Design, a renowned luxury design firm specializing in high rise co-op, condo and rental common areas; lobbies, corridors, elevators, gyms, social rooms, front entrances, rooftops. As a key member of our team, you’ll have the opportunity to work on 12-15 exciting projects per year in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities and Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture from an accredited institution
3-5 years of experience in all phases of project development, including:
Site surveys and analysis
Design development and presentation
Construction documentation and administration
Bidding and negotiation
Site supervision and project management
Proficiency in computer-aided design and 3D presentation software, including:
AutoCAD
Vectorworks
SketchUp
Photoshop
Knowledge of interior design and hospitality products
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, multi-project office environment
