Philip Buckingham

Philip Buckingham is an Architectural Illustrator based in London. Artworks are represented by Degree Art Gallery, London.

Philip has been working as an Architectural Illustrator since 2013 for practices including Hawkins Brown, Grimshaw Architects, Allies & Morrison, Pentagram and TP Bennett. He is a member of the Society of Architectural Illustration and has been exhibited internationally with work featured in The Architectural Review, Architecture Today and the RIBA Journal. His architectural illustrations are styl

istically tailored for each design stage and are used in masterplanning, competitions, funding, concept design, design development, planning, client meetings, marketing and advertising. He has a Masters in Architecture from the Royal College of Art and has been an invited critic on the course since graduating in 2016.

This is exactly how the days feel at the moment.. one day into 10 seconds... Here I took an elevated street view so that I could maximise the view of the ground floor activation of this scheme whilst also catching a glimpse of the surrounding context into the distance helping to give the image depth and interest.

In light of the sad news of Caroline Flack's death, all profits from my Love Island Architectural Illustration Prints will be given to the mental health charity 'Mind'.

Mind is a brilliant charity providing advice and support to empower anyone experiencing mental health problems.

My highlights tonight:
- The class spontaneously pinning their drawings up at the end to review and critique! (I didn't tell them to! 🤩)
- The food spread by 🤤
- My 3 year old niece told me I was her best friend before the class 🥰😭

Learning how to draw steel connections in orthographic and isometric projection at yesterday's drawing class at . We introduced using colour to highlight important elements and different lineweights to create a hierarchy of information. Very proud of the results, this class are learning quick! @ AKT II
