Corridors leading to the primary rooms, the primary suite and the bedroom hall converge on this jewel-like vestibule. The rounded corners and paneled walls and deep paneled jambs create a feeling of intimacy while providing a rich focal point that ties together the three wings of the apartment.

I'd like to introduce you to an architectural gem in my neighborhood, the town of Kinderhook, New York. On this tour, I give a detailed walkthrough of the Luykas Van Alen House, a Dutch Colonial house built in 1737. Thank you ICAA for including me in the "In Your Neighborhood" series. And a special thank you to the Columbia County Historical Society for granting us access to the property.
