For so many years, I lived in white rooms. It was the perfect palette cleanser after days spent looking at lots of color. And I loved it for many (many!) years until….I moved to the country!
In this new setting, I felt the need for color. I restricted white (a warmer white) to my office and used color everywhere else. Nowhere was that more apparent than in my bedroom where I went full throttle.
Here’s what I learned:
A rich saturated color that you love can feel soothing and enveloping while also making the room feel larger. Sounds counterintuitive, right? But, it’s true!
Dark paint erases the boundaries in a room and makes the walls recede. I’ve done it for so many clients over the years but to live in it was to truly understand what it feels like.
Have rich paint colors always intimidated you? If that’s the case, reach out to me for a virtual paint consult. I’ll talk you off the ledge and guide you to better living through rich paint choices.
