This is the most satisfying thing I’ve built all year — and it came from a dumpster pile.
Pulled this slab from the reject stack at my local mill, covered in grime and warped enough to make most guys walk away.
One morning with a sharp hand plane and the figure just started singing — I actually stopped and stood there for a second.
Scrap nobody wanted turned into the centerpiece of my entire shop.
