30 Years Old, No Day Job, Just Art | Look! I’ve Earned Countless Moments of Life
Hi, I’m Bala—a graduate student in the Department of Oil Painting at the China Academy of Art.
This marks my fifth year of pursuing art full-time, without a conventional job.
At thirty years old,
life remains full of uncertainty and the unknown,
yet I have learned to find inner harmony.
I constantly experiment with new creative methods,
and continuously adapt my working rhythm;
even if I fail to achieve "success" in the conventional sense,
at the very least, I possess the freedom to choose and to experience.
I choose to do what I desire, and I immerse myself in the world of the present moment;
drawing nourishment from these experiences,
I cultivate the brilliant summer blossoms that are uniquely mine.
Look! These are the moments of life I have earned—
amidst a sea of peonies, within Monet’s Garden, and in that fleeting instant
when a butterfly flits across the summer sky. moments that remind me: I am truly alive.
