It’s a soggy muddy mess in the ravine area. They were up in the woods grazing before dinner. Baby spooked herself when she slipped. lol

We’ve had a ton of rain over the last week and 3” of heavy downpours in just a few hours this morning. The creek flooded but receded with no damage, but we did lose some big branches from a maple tree in the woods.

On a positive note I’ve been waiting for some fresh logs to start cultivating mushrooms. I’ve never done this before but it was one of my goals to try in 2025.

At the end of the video you can see Boo climbing through the branches doing her inspection.

Stay tuned to see how this turns out! lol

Trimming and mowing the horse pasture. Honey and Baby monitored my work to ensure I did it right.

Prepping the bases for several retirement clocks. I need to seal them before I carve and color the engraving. Otherwise the ink will bleed into the wood grain. Can’t always eliminate it 100%, but the goal is to minimize it as much as possible.

Still need to do some cleanup sanding, and apply the finish, but the stressful part of the cutting is done! Class 145 Hamilton County Sheriff’s plaque is almost done. This is one of the projects that was delayed when my CNC was down for so long. Excited to get this one delivered.

Now on to the plaque for class 146.

Which do you like better? With the border or without?

This is a two sided sign. I made a mistake on the back side and had to remove the border and hide it with a beveled edge.

The more I look at it, the more I like the beveled edge without the border. What do you think?

I SCREWED UP MY STREET SIGN!!!

I messed up the two sided sign. I didn’t get my border centered on the back side. It looked horrible so I took drastic measures and removed it, and hide the mistake with a beveled edge.

Was this a mistake with a happy ending? Which side do you like better?? Border or No Border.

Next step - painting the blue and grey lines. Had to paint it while still locked down on the CNC. Once the paint dries I’ll do some more carving. If I move it, I’ll never get it back to the same exact spot and the next carves will be ever so slightly misaligned.

Starting one of two plaques for the sheriff’s department. This one will feature the Cincinnati skyline, blue and gray stripes, and a place to hang a sheriff Deputy badge.

Baby really liked the b***y scratches. But if she kept at it, she would break the fence. Luckily, she was a fast learner and we only had to turn it on for a day or two.
