Yesterday at the Delaware Chapter of the American Planning Association's annual conference I was honored with the Distinguished Leadership Award for a Citizen Planner. It was a little surreal to have my work with the City of Newark condensed to a few sentences, and also a little overwhelming to realize all of the things we've done together in all that time.
None of this work was done alone. I've had the great fortune to work with several really good groups of engaged people working to solve problems.

Apparently I only come to this page once a year to post that footprint architecture & design is a year older.
We are now 15. Gleep.
One of the things that I did for myself over the last few years was to map all of the places I've done work - everything from Idea Hours to New Houses. It's an impressive visual display of my impact, and quite humbling too.

I've haven't posted much here recently - partly because I'm not sure of the role of this page in my overall scheme of marketing.
That said, I do want to let people know that 14 years ago I incorporated Footprint Architecture & Design and I wanted to explicitly thank all of my clients and collaborators that I've worked with over those 14 years. As is often the case, the path I envisioned for the firm hasn't aligned with what actually happened, but I'm pleased with where I am and how I've helped people.
Here's to more years!

My calendar reminder tells me that 12 years ago I incorporated Footprint Architecture & Design. Much like everything else I've embarked on in my life the journey is not at all what I expected and also exactly (usually) what I wanted. Many thanks to all of my lovely clients and collaborators I've met and befriended along the way. You have made this possible.
