Should I try something else or just use this cute pot as a decoration instead of a planter?

This is my 3rd or 4th failed attempt at trying to keep a plant happy in this pot. It has drainage holes. Each plant I've put in there had an appropriate rootball size compared to the pot.
These specific plants were all thriving before putting them in here. Now they all look etoliated despite being in the exact same light they were prior to the repot. 😒
I don't get what the problem is. Maybe the pot is cursed? It's so freaking cute though so I'm having a hard time giving up on it!

Should I try one more time with this snake plant I grew from a single leaf or just admit defeat?

This Alocasia doesn't like quite as much light as most other Alocasias. It will turn its leaves facing down if it gets too much light!

I found a lacewing larvae eating something on a Staghorn fern yesterday!

It's really cool to watch them in action but I'm also curious what it was eating!

After the lacewing left the area I went to remove what was left of the white stuff and it completely disappeared the moment I touched it with my finger and seemed to have left no residue.
Anyone have any idea what it was?

Should I plant it upright and use plants that will grow up and tall or plant it on its side with short, creeping plants to give it more of a landscape feel?
