Some fun and interesting ways to reuse materials to help grow your garden!

Homemade plant food can be fun to try, but I always keep it simple and use it gently until I see how the plants respond 🌼
🫙 I treat homemade mixes more like a boost than a full feeding plan
💧 Diluting well is the part I never skip
🌱 I usually test any new mix on one or two plants first
🪴 For me, less is better than too much with DIY feeds
Simple and mild usually works best.

I like companion planting because it helps a raised bed feel more balanced instead of everything growing in one big lonely row 🌼
🍅 Basil is one of my favorite plants to tuck near tomatoes
🧅 Onions and carrots are such a handy combo in small spaces
🧡 Flowers mixed in with vegetables can help bring in more pollinators
🥒 I also like using companion planting to make the bed look fuller and prettier
🌿 It’s not magic, but it can definitely make a garden feel healthier and easier to manage
A mixed bed always feels more alive to me than planting everything separately.

Running out of room in your garden plot? Think bucket growing! Growing a few smaller items in buckets at home may help you make more use out of your plot in the garden!🪴

Bucket gardening is one of the easiest ways to grow food in a small space 🪴🥕 The biggest secret is not the bucket itself, it’s matching the plant to the container.
A few easy wins:
🥬 lettuce, spinach, radishes, and green onions do well in smaller containers
🍅 tomatoes, peppers, bush beans, and cucumbers need more room, steady watering, and regular feeding
🥕 carrots need enough depth for the variety you’re growing
And always drill drainage holes first. A pretty container without drainage turns into trouble fast.
