One of our recent projects was putting together a complete Structural Assessment Report for the Historic Friends Meeting House in Cornwall, NY. This report will assist the Historic Site in applying for a special grant offered by Sacred Sites. In conjunction with The New York Landmarks Conservancy’s Sacred Sites Program the Cornwall Meeting House is open to the public for a special tour this coming Sunday, May 13th from 10:00am -2:00pm. However, at this Garden floor level in an 1850’s Historic Newburgh townhouse the benefits of a ground floor apartment are a real value. Here we see we careful excavation is a must as many if these structures sit on stone wall foundations. Helps to factor in historic tax credits.

Exciting news to kick off 2026 for Newburgh. We’ve received approval from Newburgh’s ARC ( Architectural Review Committee) for 3 new projects owned by the Newburgh Community Land Bank in Newburgh’s Historic East End District.

128 Dubois St. was built in the mid- 1890s. James Ricketts, a bookbinder turned botanist acquired part of the block from Dubois St. to Miller St. He made his mark by starting an ambitious grape making operation that produced 63 breeds of grapes and 115 varieties of pears. Here is house stands, ready for a new life!

Exciting news to kick off 2026 for Newburgh. We’ve received approval from Newburgh’s ARC ( Architectural Review Committee) for 3 new projects owned by the Newburgh Community Land Bank in Newburgh’s Historic East End District.

11 S Miller St. was constructed in the late 1880’s in the classic Italiante Style. For restoration, the paint will be removed from the exterior brick, brownstone, lintels and sills. New precast brownstone stairs with new metal handrails will be installed. The fire damaged roof will be rebuilt and completed with new aluminum gutters and downspouts.

Exciting news to kick off 2026 for Newburgh. We’ve received approval from Newburgh’s ARC ( Architectural Review Committee) for 3 new projects owned by the Newburgh Community Land Bank in Newburgh’s Historic East End District.

238 First St. will be finished using a Historic Color Palette. Bluestone will be salvaged and reclaimed from the front pillars, then reset as the front walkway. Windows, Gutters, Shingles, Siding, Porch and other components will all be replaced keeping the integrity of this homes history.
