Answer: The little one!! The bigger the airplant, the stronger they are! The smaller the plant, the more fragile and prone to drying out and dying ): ⁠

Sooo even though baby air plants are the cutest (I mean, let's be real, they're all cute), the small ones need more love & attention. Just like people! ⁠

Tip: Mist, rinse, & soak your small plants daily, if possible

I know everyone is sick of online tests, but we gotta keep you sharp and your plants alive! This one might be easy (since it was in my story!) but it helps to see the difference between a happy plant and a "eh, I'm sure it'll be fine" plant. ⁠

Answer: the left one is happier, the one on the right could use more frequent watering. ⁠

These tillandsia aeranthos can live a very long time without being watered, but they will still wither up and die if neglected for too long. A thirsty plant will have long, spindly leaves that curl inward like a straw, trying to send as much water as possible to its base. A hydrated plant will look like the one on the left! ⁠

Plan: Since summer is coming, I plan on misting with a spray bottle every day, and rinsing them under the sink every few days, AND soaking them in a bowl for 30 minutes every week.

My small guys get dry so easily, I really recommend watering them every day now that it’s getting warmer! You have 3 combo watering options:
💦 Mist
💧 Rinse
🛁 Soak

Here’s a size chart that will help clarify life! Since this airplant hybrid naturally grows in ~clumps~, they start as a single and grow little airplant babies (aka “pups” 🐶) with time. Eventually they turn into doubles then triples then quad/cint/sextuplets ETC. But since few people want a disco-ball of plant hanging in their room, singles & doubles are the most popular and affordable, and eventually you’ll get that disco-ball clump. 👯‍♀️ But i DO love those tiny singles best 💚.
