New client- exterior in the future

Not just another project-

The State Farm Insurance agency in the Five Forks area of Williamsburg, Va. which is owned and operated by our client and friend, Javier Fuentes, is one of those special projects we took great care in completing.
Erected circa 1917, the building served as the county’s first schoolhouse. The primary grades were taught here to white children only until the 1950s. The school’s first principal left his position for service in WWI and was killed in Europe.
The building next door, The Teacherage, was constructed around the same time and served as a group home for the teachers who taught at the school. Along with Jamestown Presbyterian Church these three historic landmarks defined the Five Forks village of the early 1900s.
The building has been home to several businesses since the 1950s. Javier Fuentes purchased the building in 2017 and moved his State Farm Insurance agency into it. In Javier’s words, “among its many attributes, I love the 14’ ceilings on both floors and 10’ high windows. The back of the building faces South and provides abundant sunshine throughout the building all day”.
And I’ll add that the interior of the building is completely renovated yet retains the original floors, stairway, and character. It is an architectural treasure.
