Have you ever looked at your vinyl siding and felt tempted to play connect-the-dots?

You can thank Artillery Fungus for those unwelcome spots.
Any wood-based mulch in a damp or shady area is a perfect environment for the fungus to grow and release spores straight upward that then stick and harden on siding.
They cannot be completely removed by pressure washing, and can leave permanent stains after removal, making prevention your best bet.

Regularly turning mulch in damp areas, and avoiding thick layers of mulch next to siding can significantly lower the risk of fungus. We recommend trying stone, lava rock, rubber, or other non wood-based mulches in places around your home that recieve a lot of shade.

🇺🇸 Did you know that Mt. Rushmore was pressure washed for the first time on July 4th, 2005? 🇺🇸

The National Park Service collaborated with cleaning industry titan, Kärcher, to complete the five week project.

Alfred Kärcher invented Europe’s first hot-water high pressure cleaner in 1950, and his company remains family owned today. They are well known in the industry for aiding in the preservation of historical monuments free of charge everywhere from the Space Needle, to Christ the Redeemer in Rio, even Vatican City.

Carteret County is honoring veterans by participating in Operation Green Light! From Nov 4th-11th, the courthouse cupola will be lit green. Residents can join by changing a light bulb to green, symbolizing support for veterans. This initiative also highlights resources available to veterans and their families. Today is Russell’s Birthday!
In our family we have started saying ‘best fishes’ for your birthday, since that’s when we always seem to get the best pictures.

They say a bad day fishing is better than a good day working, and I’m not sure Russell agrees. He’s just as excited to hop in the Duramax and go wash as he is to load up the poles.
We have found that reeling up hoses can be some pretty good conditioning for reeling in some dinner anyway. 🎣😆
He’s out and about washing today. If you see the rig, give him a wave!
