"Jed Hancock-Brainerd and Rebecca Noon are theater-makers who live in Newport. They have performed, directed, produced and taught in theaters big and small from Providence, RI to Juneau, Alaska for the last 20 years. Center Aquidneck is their latest theatrical idea: To infuse daily life with the play, surprise and curation of live performance through annual events and community happenings. After spending decades living in Newport and creating work everywhere else, they are excited to dedicate their practice to their hometown."

FREE 250 DAFFODIL BULBS TO PLANT FOR NEWPORT’S
NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS!

Is your non-profit organization interested in brightening up your property ? Newport in Bloom is offering a complimentary sack of 250 daffodil bulbs to schools, churches, and other non-profits in Newport for planting this fall.

How to Claim Your Bulbs: Email us at [email protected] by the end of business on Wednesday, November 6. Please include your organization’s name, address, and the number of sacks you would like (up to 4 sacks - a total of 1,000 bulbs).

Pick-Up Details: Bulbs will be available for pick-up at the Newport Public Works Garage, 80 Halsey St., on Thursday and Friday, November 7 and 8, from 10 AM to 3 PM.

Important Reminder: Please plant your bulbs before the ground freezes, usually in December. Supplies are limited to 5,000 bulbs in total.

Newport in Bloom’s Annual Daffodil Bulb
Give-away Scheduled for SUNDAY, October 20
30,000 bulbs to be given away FREE!

For the 15th year in a row, Newport in Bloom will be providing residents and businesses with FREE Dutch Master daffodil bulbs for their fall planting. The bulbs come two dozen per bag (One bag per HH). Each bag has a retail value of over $15.

30,000 bulbs will be given away in total, thanks to the generous support of donors to Newport in Bloom throughout the year.

DATE: Sunday, October 20, 2024 (rain or shine)
TIME: 10am-1PM (or supplies last). No early birds please.
PLACE: Easton’s Beach Rotunda

With this fall’s planting, Newport in Bloom will have planted or given away over one and a half million (!) daffodil bulbs to beautify our Island communities.

Plant your bulbs in a visible spot for all to enjoy each spring.
