I’ll admit that I’ve been slacking a little bit lately on posting pictures of all the wonderful machines I’ve been restoring, but this Singer 221J I just had to show off. After a full tune up it is now in exceptional condition!

Reece Buttonhole Machine.
This machine was covered in a thick blanket of dust and pest activity. The amount of mouse debris that came out of this machine little by little picking it out with tweezers and compressed air would have filled a gallon sized bag. It’s a pretty complex machine and is the first one of these that I’ve ever worked on but here it is now all cleaned up and working good!
It’s such a fun machine to use and if you make clothing it’s one of those things that when you need one you need one!

Absolute beast of a machine.
This machine wouldn’t stay in straight stitch and would drift into zigzag on its own as it was sewing along. A full tune up took care of that and it’s working like new again.
