A little extra coffee served up on this dreary day. This little niche works overtime in this coffee and tea loving household, complete with bar sink, Aquasana RO filter on the Insinkerator Insta-hot + cold faucet, making this corner near perfect for all beverages hot and cold.

Dark and dated to bright and fresh. If I could lay out the perfect project for a client it would be this: we get a call to discuss a potential project. Client talks about everything they want to accomplish and the budget they want to accomplish it in. Those two areas don't always meet up, but they can be achieved with some good design and a little compromise. Client hires us to do the design and help make selections. Work commences and everyone is happy!

This client built their home 17 years ago, times, tastes and needs change over that period of time. They wanted an updated kitchen, new floors and a new master bath. In our process we convinced our homeowner to not tear out their beautiful hardwoods, but rather refinish them to a lighter, more neutral tone. While we didn't deliver the popular wide plank look, but they saved a ton of money by keeping what they had and updating it.

We modified the kitchen layout to house one big island, rather than a it's current partial wall with stools and a kitchen table and chairs. We gave them more cabinet storage without really changing much of the footprint.

The master bathroom was updated to a more current, classic look, while adding a larger shower, complete with body sprays and niches for storage. We took advantage of the large space, without making major framing alterations which equates to budget savings.

We added lighting everywhere we could to brighten up both spaces.

The end result was a smooth process, clients with expectations met and functional, beautifully finished spaces that will last them for the duration of their time in their home.

Thanks to the Thompson family for sharing their home with us for a couple of months!

From dark storage closet to birds nest office space. Previous clients of ours had a moderate size storage closet adjacent to a loft space. They wanted to install large windows (life giving to any work at home space) to add light and a view of their beautiful 16 acre wooded property, as well as provide a long desk space to work from home, along with a cozy nook to read or house guests that visit. I love when spaces can provide multiple uses, especially when they are small!

As my children would say we've embraced our inner boomers and neglected this page entirely. Work has continued to happen, as has life AND while we might have mentioned that we launched an updated and much more attractive website, I don't seem to see an actual post about it. With the brilliant assistance of Second Street Creative we created a much better platform to highlight our work and connect with potential clients. Please take a look, we still have more projects and pictures to add, but it's a fantastic foundation that we're proud of:

While the Plus House kept us busy for much of 2021, we did manage to sprinkle several projects (many I still need to photograph!) throughout the year and as the year closed out. We want to thank our clients and especially those who waited patiently for us - some for over a year or more - to get to their projects and bring them to life. It means the world to us to be able to do what we do and do it for the people we do it for. Our goals in 2022 are to continue to simplify our processes, create beautiful spaces for our clients and keep the necessary margin in our lives to make sure our priorities are always going in the right direction.
