It’s a different world and culture in the U.P. Of the mitten state - We honeymooned there approx 32 years ago - Love the people- love the whitefish, Lake Superior, Taq Falls, and all other cool waterfalls thru-out the U.P. - The Black Bear Research & Rescue center being my personal favorite, Drummond Island, Whitefish Point, Edmund Fitzgerald center…So much to see and experience - Summer is probably most crowded at campgrounds, but late summer/fall is our favorite time to adventure there

❄️🚨Best guess for an early look at snowfall totals. The system may move in faster, blasting Indiana with snow and ice most of Sunday.

It’s still a little early, but we will fine tune these as we get closer! I just wanted to give some broad ranges for what we are thinking 72 hours out.

There’s a good 60%+ chance that much of central Indiana gets a half foot of snow, especially near and just south of I-70.

Farther south we could see a mix of ice and sleet at times, which would cut down our snowfall totals.

Roads are likely going to be dangerous with ice and snow accumulations. Travel will be difficult Sunday night and Monday morning.

This snow won’t melt very quickly as we drop to the teens next week for highs. At night we are likely to dip below zero.

We are still working on timing, but generally 9AM Sunday to 6AM Monday looks likely.

We are monitoring a storm system that may bring impactful wintry precipitation (snow or ice) to portions of the central U.S. early next week (most likely centered on Sunday). There is a lot of uncertainty in the details and how much, if any, snow/ice impacts our region. Stay tuned for updates through the week!
