So that freezer I mentioned that was gifted to me in the last post? It was Grans, turns out...I REALLY needed it in norco too...so...NEW FREEZER obtained...bigger and better 21.3 cf GE BEAST...
ok... homestead update...I've been quiet, but working to support a new car and new garden. Plotting on how to afford a mortgage and... (isnt that enough???)
the beet tops i chopped off Feburary's 25 # bulk bag have taken (i can't believe it, dont know how they've survived...cant wait to eat them up, yum...will I do it again? Six weeks and they are JUST starting to really perk...will pass judgement at 90 days. That's all im willing to wait on.

Fig trees survived their second winter, new permanent 30 gal pots are in norco...project on deck but there's fruit on the tree's may remove them and transplant trees before it gets too much warmer, dont want them root bound in the pots they are in.
Jolla - is thriving and Im thrilled to say I think ma and i were able to save a small bit of my great gramma's jolla. wont know for sure until it blooms tho...so another year or so.
