🚨 Attention residents, we would like to remind everyone that regular inspections of gas furnaces are crucial due to potential carbon monoxide hazards.

😳 Our recent experience revealed a unit with a significant hole in two heat exchanger tubes despite being serviced last year. Ensure that working carbon monoxide alarms are installed in your premises. Fortunately, we were able to replace the furnace promptly.

📞 If your furnace is over 15 years old, please consider scheduling a maintenance check.

🥶 EXTREME COLD HVAC TIPS 🥶

🧊 Drop Thermostat A Few Degrees When the weather is cold, it is recommended that thermostat temperatures drop 3-5 degrees Fahrenheit less than your normal temperature. This simple practice reduces strain on your furnace.

💡 Check and Replace Furnace Filters A furnace filter that is clogged with dust, pet dander, and other particles will cause your furnace to work harder because of decreased airflow.

🗣️ Keep Exhaust Vents Clear
Your furnace is vented to the outside of your home. Be sure to know where the vent is, and keep it clear of snow or ice buildup. Accumulated snow and melting
water, which freezes overnight, can clog your vents. Make sure they're free of blockages.

‼️ Furnace May Not Warm Properly Depending on how extreme the temperatures are outside, you may not be able to turn the thermostat up as high as you would like. Contact your Jay’s Heating & Cooling with any questions or concerns!

💡 Revise y cambie los filtros de la caldera: Un filtro de caldera obstruido con polvo, pelo de mascotas y otras partículas hará que la caldera trabaje más debido a la disminución del flujo de aire.

🗣️ Mantenga las rejillas de ventilación despejadas: Su caldera tiene una salida de ventilación al exterior de su casa. Asegúrese de saber dónde está la rejilla y manténgala libre de nieve o hielo. La nieve acumulada y el agua derretida, que se congela durante la noche, pueden obstruir las rejillas. Asegúrese de que no haya obstrucciones.
