Arrived in Geneva around noon. Walked around and found a lovely bistro for lunch. Walked a little bit after lunch to “get the lay of the land “ . Then back to the hotel for a short nap after being up 28 hrs. Then got up, dressed and explored area near hotel. Walked down Geneva‘s equivalent of our embassy row, saw the Ariana museum, the headquarters of the Red Cross and the United Nations headquarters where the “ broken chair”is! Lots to see tomorrow before our friends arrive. Now for a tylenol pm and bed. G’night all from Geneva

Amazing day yesterday…Sunday . Visited a working “saw windmill” in operation, visited a dairy farm with state of the art technology ! Cows determine when they need to be milked and walk to the machine and machine cleans/ sanitizes the cows udders and the machine “fingers” attach to the cows udder and the milking begins. All while the cows munch on food. We saw several cows determine they needed milking and saw the process ! From there we went to Keukenhof gardens!! It’s hard to believe this only open 6 weeks a year.

Day 2 Amsterdam…snacks of bitterballs, rolled sausages , Gouda cheese and spring rolls …walked
the city with our guide Arun to Riksmuseum. Along the way we saw where John Adam’s lived while trying to secure funds to support American revolution from the Dutch, the red light district and learned its history, saw the flower 🌺 market ! The Rijksmuseum was overwhelming but with our guide we saw some hidden treasures…the library was one! A great 2nd day!
