I'm not going to lie--it's HOT Today! But, I took these photos last night at 6pm. You can see that the parking lot is in full shade. The chairs weren't even hot after sitting in the sun all day. Plus, you are encouraged to bring your own bag chair. My backyard will be completely shaded by 6:30. If you are in the area, COME OUT FOR THE PARKING LOT PARTY TONIGHT FROM 6-9pm. (Ryburn Place at Sprague's Super Service, 305 Pine Street, Normal, IL). The Jurassic food truck will begin serving at 6pm and my favorite rockabilly band--Union Avenue--plays at 6pm. Lots of door prizes. Come on, central Illinois--we are a hardy bunch. A little heat won't keep us from partying!

I AM OPEN TODAY.

Ryburn Place at Sprague's Super Service, 305 Pine St., Normal, IL is open today (9-5:30) although the parking lot is being set up for tomorrow's parking lot party. After that is set, you will have to park on the street. Sorry for the inconvenience but the party is going to be so much fun. Hope you're coming out for it--6-9 pm. Union Avenue is playing and there will be a food truck.

Just got a large shipment of these shirts that feature the new Route 66 mural at Sprague's Super Service. Any size small to XXL and YOU GET A FREE MURAL POSTCARD! This delightful couple--Nick and Nicky from London--stopped by today. They were here four years ago on one of my days off. They reminded me that even though I was running late to a doctor appointment, I let them in and stamped their passport book. I'm not saying that they came back just to collect that stamp but they seemed really happy to be able to visit again. (They missed a lot of places in Illinois so are going to slow down and take their time in our beautiful state.) Safe journey!
