Another one in progress 🔨

This project involved opening up the exterior gable and chimney area to address hidden structural issues that couldn’t be seen from the outside. Once exposed, we corrected framing, properly wrapped the structure, and rebuilt it the right way, not the shortcut way.

This is the kind of work most people never see, but it’s what protects your home from moisture damage, rot, and costly future repairs.

If something on your home doesn’t look right (sagging trim, soft spots, cracks, or previous “patch jobs”) it’s usually telling you something underneath needs attention.

This was a real blast from the past. I stumbled upon a treasure trove of neat stuff that had been left untouched for a decade. It's mind-boggling that it sat vacant for so long.

Protect Your Business, Your Privacy & Your Safety

I don’t usually bring work drama to Facebook, but what’s happened recently needs to be made public — especially for anyone who runs a service-based business like I do.

I was hired to complete a custom bay window renovation. The client said they would provide materials — but didn’t — so I made multiple trips to purchase everything myself, including several cans of wasp spray to address an active infestation at the job site.

I clearly stated in the signed contract that the wasp problem would be a work hazard and could delay the timeline. I also explained that I’m highly allergic to wasps, and wouldn’t risk my safety just to rush a job. Even with that, I showed up multiple times and hired a helper to deal with the infestation just to move forward.

After giving the client a redacted receipt, she still went to Home Depot and accessed and enlarged my private Pro Xtra account purchase history — without my knowledge or permission. That’s a serious privacy violation, and I’ve opened a formal complaint and case number with Home Depot’s corporate privacy department.

To top it off:
❌ She bounced a check
❌ She’s refusing to pay the full balance
❌ And she’s now trying to dictate how I run my business — questioning my hours, my billing, and even refusing to pay for material runs and hazard mitigation.

Let me be clear:
✔️ My time matters.
✔️ My safety matters.
✔️ My business is mine — not hers to micromanage.

I’ve initiated legal action. If she refuses to settle this properly, a mechanic’s lien will be filed and further legal steps taken.

This is a warning to all other hardworking contractors and tradespeople:
Document everything. Protect your accounts. Don’t let people take advantage of your professionalism.
