A customer needed a home built for her feral cats during the winter of 2020. After hearing the customers vision DJC Engineering took on the job with a paint ready cat house. Complete with removable lid and access holes for a small electric heater.

Sometimes we are not just and Engineering or Home Remolding company....We like to have fun too!

I have to admit, I was completely floored with this recent job!!!!

DJC Engineering put together a 8'x12' at-home dance floor in a basement over the weekend! With dance studios having been closed for months due to the corona virus pandemic, the clients daughters have had to practice their dancing at home. Their technique, stamina, and overall motivation were diminishing trying to dance in the rearranged dining room.

10mm Crystal Springs Hickory Laminate with plenty of shop lighting added and a few outlets to plug in laptops for live streaming will have these talented girls in 1st place in no time!!! Good Luck Jayden and Jocelyn!!!!! 🥳🥇🏆💃

Just how I wanted to spend my day....straddling the ridge beam of my house 34' off the ground patching the shingles that blew off my roof during Thurs/Fridays storm! Not gonna lie, scared the $hit out of me being that high and ABSOLUTELY nothing to grab onto.....

From June 2019 to Nov 3rd, DJC Eng was rehabbing an old duplex in Wood-ridge, NJ that is estimated at 130 years old. It was interesting to see how the electric evolved over the years from gas lighting to knob-and-tube, to BX cable and finally to the modern romex that we installed.

Just about everything had to be updated, fixed or needed plain old TLC to get this home ready for the customer to rent out. We encountered a family of squirrels living in the 2nd floor joist which were evicted safely. We installed new laminate flooring throughout, built custom radiator covers, gutted and fixed the entire basement, and repaired all the staircases with even building a complete new one for the basement.

After finishing up a 4 month project for a customer (pics to follow), a small vacation was needed for the DJC crew. This time off allowed the opportunity to look around and realize It was time to focus on my own home. Nothing has been updated and refreshed since building it 13 years ago!

While still working on paint and other items at the moment, here is a look at a grout color change in the kitchen as well as the long over due back splash and new pot filler.
