Busy, busy, busy here at J&K Exteriors! Another roof installation is underway today.

As always, we start every roof the right way—down to the decking. This allows us to inspect the roof structure, identify any hidden issues, and ensure your new roof is installed on a solid foundation.

We also install a minimum of two rows of ice and water shield on every roof for added protection against leaks and the harsh Ohio weather.

During every project, protecting your home is a top priority. We take extra care to protect landscaping, cover vulnerable areas, and keep the property as safe and clean as possible throughout the tear-off and installation process.

🏠 Another Beautiful Roof Completed! 🏠

This project is a perfect example of why we always tear roofs down to the decking instead of cutting corners.

Once the old roofing was removed, we discovered damaged wood and areas that were not decked to current code requirements. We replaced the bad wood, installed new OSB where needed, repaired the remaining decking, and completed all new chimney flashing to ensure everything was watertight and built correctly.

The result? A beautiful new roof, completed the right way, and a homeowner who can enjoy peace of mind for years to come.

As you can see from these photos, this is exactly why we always tear off roofing down to the decking and start with a clean foundation instead of doing a layover.

By removing the old roofing, we’re able to uncover hidden issues such as rotted wood, damaged decking, and code-related concerns that would otherwise remain buried. Addressing these problems now ensures the roof is installed correctly, performs as intended, and lasts for years to come.
