Tips to prepare & weather storms...

🧊Quick tip: Ensure your furnace exhaust pipes, dryer vents, and gutters are clear of debris, snow and icicles. Be sure to clean/change your furnace filters. This prevents potential issues with your furnace's performance due to oxygen deprivation and reduces other risks associated with clogged vents and gutters.

🔋Also, check and make sure you have battery backup (with fresh batteries) carbon monoxide detectors & fire alarms & they are working. Carbon monoxide detectors should be in furnace room, anywhere with gas appliances/fireplaces/hot water tanks & in sleeping areas of the house. Furnaces are gonna be working it double time this upcoming week!

🔌In case of power outages...
💧Have extra water on hand or fill up your bathtub before you go to bed.
🔋Check batteries in flashlights & keep them close.
⛽️Get gas for your generator.
🔥Have multiple types of heat sources (wood, gas, generator) to help heat your home so you stay warm & pipes don't burst if there is a power outage. Never use your gas appliances to heat your home.

🥶Temperatures are expected to be in negative double digits in the wind chill this week. If your furnace blower motor is running, but the heat won't kick on, check the air intake pipe on the outside of your house (2" white PVC, usually beside another 2" white PVC, about 2 feet off the ground). In this weather, those pipes are notorious for frosting over and blocking the furnace from getting the proper air to ignite the burner. Check this before spending $200 on the furnace repair man. Also putting 1/2" chicken wire over end of tube is good to keep rodents from going down & clogging you pipes.

These are just tips to share to help keep your furnace maintained and running. Always check with your furnace repair man after you check the filter & pipes, if you are having furnaces issues.

Thank you so much to all our customers & referrals! Our business is possible because of people trusting me to work on their homes/projects & because of customer referrals.

I am booking into February 2026 & beyond so contact me for a FREE estimate!

I'd just like to take a moment to thank all of my customers from this past year (and all the past years). The Lord has provided for every bill and I've never had a single day where I didn't have a job to put in that spot if I wanted to. So thank you everyone.
