Spring is the perfect time to start planting in Connecticut! 🌱
Plant cool-season annuals like pansies, snapdragons, and calendulas at the end of March (weather permitting). For your vegetable garden, plant cold-weather crops such as broccoli, peas, lettuce, spinach, carrots, and beets directly into the soil once it's workable.
Want to get a head start? Start seeds for tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, basil, and squash indoors this month—they’ll be ready for transplanting when the season warms up! Don't forget to water carefully to avoid root rot.
